Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shot Blaster to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for blasting steel weldments to the required surface finish in preparation for coating, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities

Blast all weldments as per the production schedule. Ensure blasting equipment, including helmets and blasting pot, are in perfect working condition at all times. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with 5S standards. Process all jobs requiring blasting according to job instructions and specifications.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

Verify that all weldments correspond correctly with the job traveler before blasting. Blow off all parts thoroughly before they leave the blast booth. Clean the dust bucket before the start of every shift. Prioritize and complete reworked jobs as soon as possible. Place job travelers with their corresponding weldments in the trolleys after blasting. Ensure there is sufficient blasting media in the system at all times. Perform any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Team Leader or Manager.

Requirements

Previous experience as a shot blaster, sandblaster, or in a similar industrial role will be advantageous. Knowledge of surface preparation standards and basic safety procedures. Ability to follow work instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail. Physically fit and able to work in a noisy and dusty environment with protective gear. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
