Job Description


Our client in the Independent Insurance industry is currently looking for a Short-Term Insurance Sales Advisor, in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for securing new clients.
  • Generating own leads.
  • Ability to prospect efficiently in order to secure appointments with qualified leads.
  • Manage pipeline to ensure conversion rate is applied and revenue generated to reach targets.
  • Plan and Execute approaches and pitches to clients.
  • Handle and overcome client objections.
  • Comfortable with presenting to clients.
  • Master and understand market trends and seasonality in the market.
  • Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process.
  • Meet and exceed targets set in terms of contributing and generating revenue.
  • Convert new relationships into repeat business.
  • Obtain quotations, and draft comparisons to present to clients.
  • Complete and record relevant compliance.
  • Attend to client renewals/anniversaries.
  • Negotiate with clients and insurers on prices and cover offering.
  • Be able to execute negotiation through prospecting, cold calling, quantifying and closing deals.
  • Ability to converse with all levels of clients.
  • Follow up on customer communications in a timely manner and adhere to Service Level Agreement and turnaround times.
  • High administrative capability.
  • Record and report on customer details/sales/conversions/client meetings/leads vs closing ratios.
  • Ensure weekly/monthly reports are up to date and submitted on time as required by the business.
Requirements:
  • Matric/NQF4.
  • Own Vehicle and Driverxe2x80x99s Licence.
  • Clear Criminal Record.
  • RE5.
  • Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in sales on Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Specialised Short-term Insurance.
  • Must have operated in the independent financial advisor space.
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of the Short-term Insurance industry.
  • Bilingual xe2x80x93 must be able to write and speak both English and Afrikaans.
  • Confident and assertive.
  • Sound Business Development/Externals Sales experience.
  • A Go-getter and hunter.
  • Strong sales talent.
  • Good networks and understanding of the market.
  • Target driven.
  • Highly costumer centric and service driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to cold call, build good rapport with clients, problem solving and finding practical solutions.
  • Excellent in negotiating and closing deals.
  • Able to work independently and in groups.
Remuneration:
  • R20 000 xe2x80x93 R30 000 per month + commission.
