We are looking for a Shipping Logistics Clerk who will be responsible to carry out a range of administrative tasks and procedures relating to the shipping and logistics processes within the Coal department. Role involves close interactions with traffic team in Baar and local service providers on elements such as document issuance and BL instructions etc.
PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness within scope of respective activities and services in support of logistics objectives to contribute positively to financial performance.
Monitor movement, arrival, loading and departure at port of vessels through close liaison with shipping agents and update logistics management and Baar traffic accordingly.
Provide efficient administrative support as required to fulfil contractual obligations relating to shipping documentation issuance, dispatch, storage, and related services.
Maintain operations by following and adhering to a wide range of department related clerical functions, procedures, and policies.
Ensure prompt service from service providers by forging and maintaining close relationships and by ensuring any problems or issues are immediately brought to management attention and addressed swiftly and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B. Com Logistics, Accounting or Finance and/ Relevant Tertiary qualification.
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
We will require 2-5 years relevant experience.
Commercial Job Apprenticeship / Internship experience will be beneficial.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
Strong analytical and administrative skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Team player with an independent and flexible work attitude.
Ready to adopt to international practices.
Computer literacy with excellent MS Office (Word, Excel).
