Qualifications

Matric or Equivalent Tertiary qualification or currently studying towards one will be advantageous

Experience

At least 3 years' experience in logistics Experience of imports and exports would be advantageous. Management of documentation for customs purposes. Advanced level of Microsoft Office

Duties

Provide logistical support to the Customer Sales Centre by coordinating and facilitating customer deliveries via third party transporters. Collect all transport PODs and ensure electronic copies are stored in a cloud based central file depositary. Manage and be responsible for all TMS (Transport Manage System) functions with D365Assess daily distribution requirements, develop an optimized distribution plan, and submit it to Steinweg for route planning and load optimization. Compile and manage daily transport tracking reports as well as logistics related documentation and communications. Provide procurement with spot transport costs as and when required Validate in liaison with SHEQ department. That transporters meet all relevant Hazchem and ISO requirements Identify new transport providers and support procurement in awarding of transport contracts Coordinate BIVAC inspections & administrative management thereof Perform additional tasks relevant to the job function. Maintain healthy relationships with logistics service providers
