Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Shift Supervisor Grout Plant to be placed in Swartklip, Northam Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Site Superintendent. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

xc2xb7 Effective supervision of the underground and surface Grout Plant crews

xc2xb7 Effective planning, leading, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets

xc2xb7 Cost containment through effective budget management and efficient target achievement

xc2xb7 Accurate and timely reporting

xc2xb7 Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement

xc2xb7 Efficient achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR and project scope

xc2xb7 Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client's and M&RC's standards, procedures and policies

xc2xb7 Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives

Self and team understand and comply with legal regulations and M&RC's standards, procedures, policies and safety protocols

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

xc2xb7 Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4

xc2xb7 Blasting Certificate / Trade Certificate / Technical Diploma / Project Management Certificate (preferred

xc2xb7 Chargehand Grout Plant Certificate

xc2xb7 Possess either a recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate

xc2xb7 Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)

xc2xb7 Good English written and verbal communication skills

xc2xb7 COMSOC 1 and 2 (advantageous

xc2xb7 Valid EB Driver's License

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

xc2xb7 Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chargehand Grout Plant

xc2xb7 Exposure acting as a Shift Supervisor Grout Plant (advantageous)

xc2xb7 Experience compiling risk assessments and safe working procedures

xc2xb7 Experience conducting planned inspections

xc2xb7 Sound knowledge of Grout Plant operations, equipment and methods
