Do you enjoy ensuring people's safety? Our client has an opportunity available for a SHERQ Officer: Health and Safety.
Requirements:
Matric
Diploma or Degree in Safety/ Quality Management/ Risk Management with a SAMTRAC or NEBOSH qualification.
ISO 9000 or ISO 45000 Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
2 to 3 years' experience in an operational environment working in a health and safety role.
Training in First Aid and Fire Prevention would be advantageous.
Knowledge of relevant SHERQ legislations and regulatory requirements.
KPAs:
Coordinate and facilitate SHERQ risk assessments and work with operations to develop the best mitigation plan.
Maintain the IIRMS and external assurance systems.
Conduct inspections and internal audits to ensure the adherence to IIRMS requirements.
Implement and drive the implementation of SHERQ programmes.
Develop monitoring schedules to ensure compliance with statutory requirements for health and safety.
Coordinate effective testing of emergency response protocols.
Ensure that effective SHE committee meetings are conducted.
Promote and adhere to the company's procedures, policies and guidelines including those related to SHERQ, Competition law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
