SHEQ Officer reporting to MD

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement and Maintain the Health and Safety Management Systems on all sites Audit health and safety files and do site inspections Facilitating client audits Ensure that all accidents and incidents are properly recorded, reported and investigated and corrective and preventative measures are implemented Compiling /Approving Safety Files Induction of sub-contractors Ensuring general OHS compliance as per OHS Act Facilitating emergency preparedness and evacuation drills Adapt OHS-related documents to be client-specific Enforce risk identification, evaluation and development of safe work procedures Conduct or arrange a risk and hazard assessment and implement the necessary corrective actions to mitigate hazards and risks Ensure all site-related training and toolbox talks are conducted Monthly site and committee meetings attendance Managing Quality Management Systems: xe2x9exa2 ISO: 9001 :2015 QMS Security Certificate xe2x9exa2 ISO: 22001: 2018 Food Safety Manage quality and knowledge on health and Safety systems (ISO 14001 & 45001) Drive ISO 9001: 2015 system and methods, as well as the Safety, Health and Environments concerns. (ISO 14001; ISO 45001) Audits must be completed successfully at the planned target date Quality Review and SHE Committee meetings must be held monthly every 3/6 months. Manage and plan Evacuation Drills must occur twice a year Ensure all Corrective Actions and Non-Conformances are investigated, and findings implemented within 7 days All Quality Documents (SOPs, Work Instructions, Key Processes) must always be maintained and kept up to date Develop and maintain SOPs and guidelines to ensure the safe and compliant execution of tasks Identify and stay updated on all South African legal and regulatory requirements concerning health, safety, and environmental standards Lead management reviews, maintain records, and drive continual improvement initiatives Implementation of SHE Legal Compliance. Give inputs to development of SHE policies, procedures, and forms

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Matric Certified Relevant Degree with relevant Certifications or Post graduate degree or diploma in SHEQ, Vocational training related to ISO 9001 implementation, internal auditor, quality improvement techniques/methodology and nonconformance management ISO: 9001 :2015 QMS Security Certificate ISO: 22001: 2018 Food Safety ISO: 45001:2018 OHSMS ISO: 14001 :2015 EMSMS Degree/Diploma/Certificates in Health and Safety Field SAMTRAC will be an added advantage 3 to 5 years experience as a SHEQ Officer 3 years of direct experience in the Security/Cleaning/Parking Industry will be advantageous Solid Computer Proficiency Drivers License Code 08 and own reliable vehicle Willing to travel as when required
