Job Purpose:

To provide an efficient administration service to the Safety & Quality Department. Coordination of work systems to ensure that the services of the company meet the highest, Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Standards and that the working conditions of the company are favorable and safe.

Required: Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)
N4-N6 Health and Safety or related qualification
Relevant ISO: 9001 Quality or related qualification
First Aid Certificate

Required: Experience

1-2 Years Experience in Construction or Engineering Environment
1xe2x80x932-year Experience ISO 9001:2015 Standard and the associated Quality management system
1 Year Understanding of Health & Safety requirements

Required: Knowledge

Knowledge of electrical hazards and at least Level 1 First Aid certification (Either has or be willing to go on a first aid course)
Knowledge of dealing with hazards, reporting process and accident investigation process
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective organizational operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge of xe2x80x98SHEQ' Principles and Procedures
Knowledge of Ms Package (Microsoft outlook, Spreadsheets, Excel, Ms Visio)
Knowledge of the relevant legislation (OHSA, BCEA, COIDA, ISO: 9001)

Job Specification & Key Responsibilities

Assist management representative in Implementing, Monitoring, measuring the quality system.
Support Management by sitting in on Project meetings, taking minutes, and doing follow ups on agreed actions and processes to be followed for Safety & Quality purposes.
Facilitating safety& quality improvement activities, provide project management, data analysis and measurement of outcomes, document and report the results and accomplishments of safety & quality improvement initiatives.
Draft organograms and Process Flows using MS Visio programme.
Publishing Quality documents on the QMS System
Investigating & recording non- conformities
Incident investigations & implement corrective measures.
Compiling Health and Safety Documents (Plans, Procedures, registers, and Policies)
Conduct safety audits in the office
Compile & maintain safety files/registers,
Holding toolbox talk meetings with Engineering & Projects Team,
Produce monthly safety reports.
Co-ordinate and set up all meetings (SHEQ, Management reviews).
Participate in detailed incident investigation and Root Course analysis.
Ordering of PPE (personal protective equipment)
Be the first aider in the Office and on site when required.
Manage incidents and emergency procedures.
Investigate complaints relating to employee's health and safety and make representations to the employer or a h/safety committee (of which he/she is a member)
Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
Keeping and managing all Customer's project safety files and related files
Assist with any ad-hoc tasks assigned by line manager
