Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently representing a highly reputable mining company based in the Eastern Cape who is in search of a skilled and experienced SHE Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring the SHE management system.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
- Identifying hazards and assessing risks in the workplace.
- Implementing and maintaining effective emergency response procedures.
- Conducting incident investigations and reporting on findings.
- Providing training and awareness programs on SHE policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal standards and legal regulations regarding plant Health & Safety and Environmental systems.
- Develop, oversee, and manage budgets effectively.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of GRI reports and monthly reports.
- Utilize the Isometrix System for management purposes.
- Degree in Health & Safety Management or related field.
- Grade 12
- 5 years' experience as a SHE Officer in the mining industry.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Computer Literate
- Knowledge in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and various SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk, and Quality) standards, including Rail Safety regulations.
- SHERQ Auditing Skills.
- Salary: negotiable
