To coordinate, implement, and monitor Safety, Health, and Environmental programs to ensure legal compliance, adherence to ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards, and promote a safe workplace culture
Principal Accountabilities
Monitor adherence to all SHE legal requirements, permits, and licenses.
Maintain the company's legal register and ensure updates are communicated.
Support external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.
Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, and FSSC 22000 (safety elements).
Conduct internal audits and inspections; track corrective actions.
Maintain SHE documentation, risk assessments, and aspect-impact registers.
Facilitate incident investigations and compile reports with root cause analysis.
Coordinate risk assessments, safe work procedures, and PPE compliance.
Monitor and report on leading and lagging safety indicators
Conduct SHE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
Keep training records updated and assist with competence assessments.
Compile monthly SHE reports (incidents, near misses, audit findings).
Report key compliance KPIs to the SHEQ Manager / Operations Management
Qualifications & Experience
National Diploma or equivalent in Safety/Environmental/Occupational Health.
SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certificate advantageous.
At least 2-3 years of SHE experiences in FMCG or aviation catering environment.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 required
SAP system experience is advantageous
Food Safety Management experience
Computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of OHS legislation
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
