Are you an experienced engineer who loves solving problems, working with advanced machinery, and getting hands-on with technology?
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service & Installation Engineer to join a global leader in high-tech manufacturing equipment. This role isn't limited to one industry-whether your background is in packaging, food processing, robotics, electronics, or automation, your skills could be the perfect match.
What You'll Do
Install, commission, and maintain cutting-edge production equipment at client sites.
Work across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and IT systems, integrating hardware and software seamlessly.
Connect equipment to client IT networks, manage software updates, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Optimise equipment processes to improve client production efficiency.
Provide hands-on technical support and training to clients, becoming their trusted go-to expert.
Represent the business during installations, service visits, and repairs.
Travel locally (mostly Gauteng, with some national projects) and internationally for specialist assignments.
Travel Opportunities
Initial 3-week international training (Germany, Taiwan, Netherlands).
Ongoing projects across Africa, Europe, and Asia (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Japan, etc.).
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Qualifications: Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (with strong electrical/IT skills).
Skills:
Mechanical and electrical fault finding & maintenance.
PLC systems, automation equipment, IT networking, and SQL/database systems.
Software troubleshooting and process optimisation.
Attributes: Proactive problem-solver, independent but collaborative, adaptable, strong communicator with great customer-facing skills.
Bonus Experience: Packaging, food processing, high-speed machinery, robotics, or other industrial automation sectors.
Requirement: Clear criminal record (client industries include Military/Defence).

R50,000 basic salary (negotiable depending on background).
