Purpose of the job: An excellent and challenging opportunity exist for a dynamic and experienced technician to join Sedna and provide support services at the Sedna head office and may be deployed to remote sites if/when required. We seek an experienced IT support technician with a strong focus in service delivery and customer experience to join our existing team, to help maintain and improve the support provided to the business. The role includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and equipment to ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting of multiple networking disciplines. You will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required. We are looking for a highly experienced individual within the IT industry. The incumbent will also be required to be available to do standby work and attend to emergency call outs after hours. Key responsibilities/roles: 1. Assist with general systems support and housekeeping tasks. 2. Assist with remote support calls, incident logging, and incident resolution and prioritize calls per defined Service Level Agreements. 3. Answering incoming Service Desk calls from the business through telephone/emails/WhatsApp or in person. 4. Updating of task management system requests and completion of tasks within SLA limits. 5. User accounts creation, amendments, and troubleshooting for the suite of systems and applications. 6. AD/0365 administration. 7. Adding and removing tags, configuring data logging in OPC 8. Microsoft Office experience essential 9. SLA reports 10. SharePoint knowledge essential 11. SQL and PowerBI skills (Advantageous) 12. Mining experience (Advantageous) 13.
