Summary of role: Responsible for conducting physical assessments and documenting the repair requirements for trailers with minor damage. This role involves determining the nature of repairs, whether accident-related, warranty-related, service-related, or general, and creating accurate job lists.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Assessments: Perform on-site assessments of customer trailers to diagnose issues and recommend suitable repair solutions.
Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, answering technical questions, providing updates on repair progress and addressing any concerns.
Problem Resolution: Advise customers on repair options, explain the technical aspects of trailer repairs and assist in making informed decisions on cost-effective solutions.
Repair Coordination: Work closely with the service and repair teams to schedule repairs, ensure proper communication with customers, and guarantee timely service delivery.
Service Recommendations: Suggest additional services, preventative maintenance, or upgrades that could benefit the customer's fleet, increasing overall sales opportunities.
Estimates & Quotes: Provide detailed and accurate repair/refurb estimates and quotes, addressing customer needs and ensuring alignment with repair capabilities.
Repairs Presentations: Present tailored solutions to customers, explaining the services and benefits offered. Convert inquiries into sales and maintain a high conversion rate.
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet owners, logistics companies and other businesses, ensuring customer loyalty and repeat business.
Repairs/Refurbishments/Warrantee Reporting: Track and report on repairs activities, customer interactions and repair progress. Provide detailed updates to management.
Customer Feedback: Collect feedback from customers regarding services, ensuring any issues are addressed and that the company continuously improves its offerings.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric (essential)
Computer Literacy: MS Office (essential) & ERP System
Code 8 driver license and reliable transport (essential)
2 years precious experience in technical support preferably in the automotive, trucking or trailer repair industry.
2 years precious experience in client liaison/sales preferably in the automotive, trucking or trailer repair industry.
