Job Description

Job Purpose:

• To ensure that products are designed and projects are delivered with the user in mind and are put into context based on a clear understanding of who our users are, what their needs are and how theyxe2x80x99d like our products to work.
• To translate an in depth understanding of our users into high quality product designs and end products which users choose to engage with because they solve their problems.
• To ensure that we have tested ideas with users before significant investment is made in building products and delivering projects.

Minimum education (essential):

• Matric
• Diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media or equivalent

Minimum education (desirable):

• Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media or equivalent
• Degree in Information Technology / Multimedia

Minimum applicable experience (years):
5 years

Required nature of experience:

• Experience with user research techniques like: focus groups, interviews, surveys, consumer research and social media listening, experiments and field trials, observation and competitor analysis.
• Experience with low and high fidelity prototype methods and tools.
• Experience in generating UI/UX designs for mobile, tablet and web which abide to relevant platform guidelines.
• Graphic Design with the following programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, other vector based software would be advantageous.
• Awareness and application of design guidelines as stipulated by iOS and Android for mobile design and development.
• Iconography, illustration and mobile app based design.
• Corporate identity design and establishment.
• 3D design and animation experience would be advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

• Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Figma
• Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of Google Suite.
• Proficiency in Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint or other related software to design presentations.
