Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior VFX Editor and Colourist to join our post-production team. As a Senior VFX Editor and Colorist, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing visual effects, animations, and compositing elements to elevate our projects and deliver to our desired excellence. In addition to your VFX expertise, you should also possess colour grading skills to bring out the desired mood and aesthetic in the final product. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using After Effects, have 3D skills to handle various VFX tasks, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail when it comes to colour correction and grading.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the creative team, directors and producers to understand project requirements and goals
Conceptualize, design, and execute visual effects shots, animations, and compositing elements to enhance the overall visual quality of the projects
Utilize After Effects and other relevant software to create stunning visual effects, motion graphics, and animations
Employ 3D skills for 3D tracking, modelling, texturing, and rendering, as needed for specific VFX tasks
Integrate VFX elements seamlessly into live-action footage or other media
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
Take the lead in colour grading and colour correction processes to achieve the desired mood and look for each project
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and tools related to VFX and colour grading, AI tools and share knowledge with the team.
Qualifications/Experience/Skill:
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Animation, Visual Effects, or related field
Minimum 9 years experience in VFX editing, motion graphics, and compositing
Experience working in an advertising agency, television or film industry
A good command of the English language
Proficiency in using After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard VFX software
Strong 3D skills, including experience with 3D tracking, modelling, texturing, and rendering software (e.g., Blender, Maya, or similar.)
Knowledge of other VFX and animation software, such as Nuke, Houdini, or Blender
Familiar with industry-standard color grading tools like DaVinci Resolve
Demonstrated expertise in colour correction or grading. Preferences will be given for candidates with stronger skills
Excellent eye for detail, composition, and aesthetics
Strong understanding of storytelling and visual communication principles.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges
Portfolio or reel showcasing previous VFX, Editing, 3D and color grading work with clear indication of your involvement in the project
