Assist the electrical section head with the management of the electrical maintenance personnel and tasks in order to maintain a high standard of routine and ad-hoc maintenance activities in accordance with the prescribed management programmes within the SAFARI - 1 reactor. To perform all electrical maintenance as well as selected construction tasks within the SAFARI-1 reactor (including radiation facilities) and to assist with the manufacturing and installation of equipment as needed.
Assist and support with ensuring that the maintenance programmes and ad-hoc maintenance activities are maintained and that they comply with the applicable quality management system. Continual reporting on the above to the EM section head in order to evaluate and review the effectiveness of the maintenance programme.
Support the FE group with implementation and commissioning of projects. Provide ongoing on the job training and/or coordination to reactor electrical maintenance personnel regarding plant related tasks and schedules. Ensure on an ongoing basis that all SAFARI-1 plant facilities and electrical installations comply with electrical legislative requirements.

MAINTENANCE OF REACTOR AND IRRADIATION FACILITIES (IPR RIGS, BEAM LINES, PNEUMATICS, RINGAS AND SILICON RIG)
Maintain efficiency and reliability of reactor systems Including irradiation facilities. Attending to Reactor Operations visitors
Plan and perform maintenance as per MPR and AD-hoc data base.
Replacement, refurbishment and upgrade of reactor plant equipment as per schedule Quotations and purchasing of material.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
SHEQ systems:
Up to date and effective implementation of level 3 documents /drawings/ critical spares list, RFM system and literature system. CR job permit system, quarterly reports etc.
Support QHSE management system requirements and continuously ensure compliance through ISO and other standards. Also provide support during compliance audits, both internal and external.
Safety HSE:
Adheres to safety practises and complies with safety rules, housekeeping, regulations, permits and PPE in a continual effort to keep DIIR and TIR as low as possible.
Attendance of SHEQ sessions:
Continual support and attendance to the SAFARI-1 SHEQ training.
Completion and checking of all scheduled check lists.
Maintain an effective documentation and records system on completed maintenance work.
Prepare work procedures and checklists (i.e. commissioning plans, calibration checklists, work procedures, etc.), including the updating of electrical drawings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
National Diploma Electrical
Qualified Electrical Technician with wiremen's license.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years' experience in electrical maintenance in nuclear and support facilities with a thorough knowledge of aspects related to quality assurance and environmental control systems (regulatory and legislative requirements) in a nuclear facility.
Soft starter/VSD experience will be an advantage.
UPS and generator systems experience.
Computer literate.
PLC fault finding.
Thermal scanning interpretation and reports on various electrical equipment. (Buss bars, electrical panels, etc.)
