Senior Technician - Access Control Systems (Installations & Maintenance)

An overview of your duties

As a technician you are responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of access control systems and alarm systems in accordance with the company's standard operating procedures. Adhere to and maintain technical standards and standard operating procedures Provide remote support as and when required Be available for call out Service the Company's product portfolio as directed in an effective and cost-efficient manner To ensure that at all times tools and equipment are regularly maintained in good and safe working order and that test gear is regularly calibrated and labelled as required by ISO9000 Maintain all documentation and ensure that records are up to date. Communicate appropriately with the Director TSU Technical Services to discuss new projects, receive work and report progress in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established procedures To be aware of all contract possibilities and add on business opportunities To observe and promote safe working practices and help maintain depots in a tidy and workmanlike manner

The experience you should have

In-depth experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repairing of access control systems Alarm system installation and repairs (Paradox, DSC, IDS, Texecom, Caddx, Ajax & other major brands) In-depth knowledge of alarm communicator devices and applications Electric fence installation and repairs CCTV (IP and analogue including cabling, installation, setup, programming, & troubleshooting), all major brands Experienced in working on networks Knowledge of computer hardware and software Strong team player Ability to work effectively without supervision Alarm, CCTV, Electric Fence, Access Control, Gate Motor knowledge Good technical skills and workmanship PSIRA registered
