An international company in the energy and infrastructure sector is looking for a Tax Specialist to join their team. This role covers tax accounting and reporting, tax compliance, and tax advisory. Its ideal for someone with strong tax experience, especially in a multinational or consulting environment, who is confident managing tax risks and ensuring compliance with both local and international tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax calculations
- Submit VAT, provisional tax, and income tax returns.
- Handle tax reporting for international group requirements.
- Ensure compliance across all tax areas
- Support audits and manage queries from SARS.
- Review tax budgets, financial models, and financial statements.
- Maintain a schedule of all tax returns and outstanding issues.
- Identify tax saving opportunities and ensure accurate tax records.
- CA(SA) with a postgraduate tax qualification preferred
- 2+ years post-articles experience, or 45 years experience in a tax/accounting role.
- Experience in a large multinational or consulting firm is essential.
- Strong understanding of international tax and transfer pricing.
