Job Summary
Position: Senior Tax Administrator
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Administrator with experience in income tax and related tax types. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and ensure full compliance with SARS requirements across all relevant tax areas.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete income tax returns and provisional tax calculations across all tax types.
• Perform comprehensive tax computations including Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
• Manage and maintain various tax types on the SARS e-Filing platform.
• Oversee client tax portfolios and provide expert administrative support.
• Handle SARS tax and payroll compliance matters, including objections, disputes, registrations, and related queries.
• Communicate and correspond with SARS through e-Filing and attend in-person SARS meetings as needed.
• Manage IT14SD and verification queries; compile and reconcile supporting documents.
• Draft responses and gather supporting information for SARS audits (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and Customs-related matters).
• Conduct tax research and provide sound technical opinions and advice on complex tax matters.
• Process Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) applications.
• Prepare and submit Dividend Withholding Tax returns.
• Liaise directly with clients and participate in consultations and meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a tax-related role.
• Relevant qualification or diploma in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field.
• Registration with SARS as a Tax Practitioner is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with ProfSoft software is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Own reliable transport and a valid South African driver's licence is preferred.
• Candidates must be South African citizens and ideally based in Cape Town.
• Note: A 24-month penalty clause applies to this role. Candidates will be informed prior to interviews.
