Role purpose:

The role currently is responsible for 2 platforms within Digital Channels. Firstly, the individual will own the technical responsibility of the ConnectU platform for Vodacom. The incumbent will work closely with the commercial owners of the business strategy (viz. Segment Marketing & CVM) to translate and deliver the technical aspects of the commercial strategy. This will involve managing an agile development & delivery squad with a specific focus executing on roadmap deliverables and prioritizing backlog requirements. Secondly, this role has the overall responsibility of the Drupal Content Management System (CMS). This role serves as the product owner of the CMS and has the responsibility of ensuring content demand across the overall Vodacom landscape is captured, developed, and delivered across our Digital ecosystems driving improved and enhanced customer experience. This role works closely across the business and requires collaboration across segment marketing, terminals, brand and communications, financial services, and Vodacom Business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Define, promote, and implement a digital strategy for the capability and commercial value for the platforms.
Create and implement a roadmap to address business objectives, with a specific focus on CMS and content migration.
Establish and monitor essential metrics and KPIs aligned with the business strategy. Implement automated and functional analytics for reporting purposes.
Introduce novel features to boost adoption, usage, and drive key performance indicators.
Collaborate with UX leads to design customer-friendly journeys, incorporating user testing insights for final implementation.
Establish roles and workflows, implement relevant plugins, conduct training, and maintain a functionality and capability register.
Steer SI partners, delivery squads, and IT stakeholders optimally to drive business objectives are met. This will include using feedback loops to identify gaps for performance improvements to ensure the CMS delivers optimal Customer Experience.
As a key player in Agile delivery, close collaboration with the Scrum Master to ensure efficiently managed cross functional teams.
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring smooth and successful deployments free of user defects.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Matric is essential.
A minimum 3-year bachelor's Degree in business or information systems areas is essential.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Digital Service and Digital product management (essential)
Product Development skills

OR

Matric is essential
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in managing/owning a CMS platform and/or Technical platform delivery

Knowledge and experience in Digital Channel delivery

Customer focus with regards to understanding the service being delivered
