Senior Specialist: Strategic Ran Engineering

Job Description
Our client in the telecom sector is looking for a Senior Specialist: Strategic RAN Engineering on a contract role for 6 months.
Role purpose: This role is critical to support the end-to-end strategic planning process across the complete network. As Group continues to evolve its network strategy to meet future demands, the Strategic Planning team is tasked with driving traffic projections across the networks, Smart CAPEX Planning and leading the Next Generation Network Investment (NGNI) using Gen AI/ML.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- 5+ Years' experience in RF Design for 3gPP technologies
- 5+ Years Advanced Experience with GIS and RF Planning tools. Atoll, MapInfo and iBwave skills essential.
- Data Analytics skills advantageous: Statistics, Coding, SQL, RPA Tool Proficiencies
- Mastery of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory.
- In-depth knowledge of multiband Antenna & Site equipment layout strategies/configurations and solutions.
- Huawei and Nokia Experience Essential
- Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- A 4 year Electrical/Computer/Data Engineering degree / 3 year Electrical Engineering diploma
- Plus 5+ years relevant experience.
