Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a 5-star environment, delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality cuisine
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain excellence in food preparation and presentation
Ensure smooth kitchen operations, including compliance with health and safety standards
Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and innovative culinary experiences
Manage cost control, inventory, and supplier relationships
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in 5-star hotels, lodges, or fine dining establishments
Strong leadership and team management skills
Exceptional culinary expertise with creativity and attention to detail
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards
Commitment to delivering an outstanding luxury guest experience
