TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognized non-profit organization. Purpose of the position:
The Senior social worker / Team Lead will manage the (AYP) programme in designated safe spaces. This focus will mainly be on adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) programmes implemented at designated THC Community Safe Spaces and within their communities to ensure enrichment, risk assessment, quality care and support for AYPs
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Social Work Honours degree
Minimum six years' experience in social work, supervision and management
Must have valid registration with the SA Council for Social Service Professionals
Accredited relevant post-graduate qualification will be an advantage
MS Office proficiency
Clear criminal record
Ability to travel as and when required
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the successful implementation of the NACOSA community HIV/TB project
Manage team of interventionists and social workers
Responsible for the quality and quantity of all psychosocial services
enrolment and risk assessments and data capturing of your team
Ensure financial good governance, notifying and providing the financial department with financial requirements
ensure positive working relationships with all stakeholders, funders and within the teams
Liaise with partner organisations to implement the biomedical services for AYPs
Ensures good project management of all functions
Manage your team's recruitment of beneficiaries at all entry points
Manage your team iro the monthly targets as set by NACOSA to be achieved.
Identify AYP hotspots for mobilization
Training and oversight of PGTs social and auxiliary workers to increase their knowledge and quality service delivery
Submits psychosocial data for all AYP served to M&E Officer and Data Analyst
Ensures internal, regular communication and meetings with your team
Mobilise, create programme awareness and promote the utilization of services to AYP's
