Job Description

Our client is based in NorthWest Brits district.We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP BW Consultant to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of SAP solutions that meet business intelligence needs, ensuring high-quality data integration, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate will support the setup, configuration, and optimization of our SAP BW system and have a strong background in SAP BW4Hana and related technologies, including BW ABAP, SAP Business Objects, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance, Technical Configuration, and Upgrades

• Support the installation, setup, and technical configuration of SAP BW/4HANA.
• Optimize SAP BW architecture for performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Configure system connections (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and third-party data sources).
• Assist with upgrades, patches, and version migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform regular health checks, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot technical configuration issues.
• Conduct system performance tuning to ensure efficient query execution and loading times.
• Implement and manage aggregations, partitioning, and data compression strategies.
• SAP BW Development and Maintenance

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW data models, data flows, and reporting solutions.
• Create and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Implement and manage data warehousing best practices.
• Open Hub Development

• Configure Open Hub destinations to export SAP BW data to SQL databases or third-party tools.
• Implement robust data extraction routines using Open Hub services for external systems integration.
• Ensure accuracy and performance of data extracted via Open Hub.
• BW ABAP Development

• Develop custom ABAP routines for data extraction, transformations, and user exits.
• Debug and optimize ABAP code to enhance performance and scalability.
• SAP Business Objects Integration

• Configure and manage SAP Business Objects for advanced reporting and dashboarding.
• Design and develop Web Intelligence (Webi) reports and other custom reports to support business intelligence requirements.
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Build and manage SAC models, stories, and dashboards.
• Integrate SAC with SAP BW and other data sources for real-time analytics.
• SAP Analysis for Office Reporting

• Develop SAP Analysis for Office reports to deliver dynamic Excel-based analytics.
• Create and maintain Excel Pivot summaries and dashboards to provide clear, actionable insights for business users.
• Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting

• Optimize system performance and resolve technical issues across the SAP landscape.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system defects.

Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:

• Certification Required for SAP BW / SAP BW/4HANA
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP BW, including at least 6+ years with SAP BW/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP Business Objects tools, including Web Intelligence and Analysis for Office
• Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAC Scripting for data visualization and analytics.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming for data warehousing and custom development.
• In-depth experience with SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, SD, MM) and their data structures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
