Senior Sage Intacct Consultant required in Johannesburg.

The Senior Sage Intacct Functional Consultant is responsible for the complete project lifecycle of implementing and optimizing the Sage Intacct platform for our diverse client base. This role requires the consultant to lead complex cloud implementations, facilitate the integration of third-party systems, and apply advanced financial expertise to solution design.



The consultant will be expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to refine business processes, enhance overall financial efficiency, and ensure the delivered solution precisely aligns with the client's strategic financial goals. A key component of this position includes the mentoring and professional development of Consultant I and II level staff, contributing to the growth of the internal consulting practice.



Salary: R40 000 - R80 000 basic per month.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment phases of Sage Intacct implementations, with a focus on Core Financials (AP, AR, Cash Management) and advanced functionality. Develop comprehensive financial and operational reports, analyzing data and synthesizing key performance insights for clear presentation to senior client management. Manage project work plans, monitor progress, and delegate resources effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Proactively monitor and manage scope changes, strictly adhering to and communicating established change management protocols. Serve as the subject matter expert in advanced Intacct modules, including Multi-Entity and Global Consolidations, Revenue Recognition, Subscription & Contract Billing, and Financial Planning/Budgeting. Train, mentor, and coach junior consulting staff to develop internal expertise in Intacct implementation methodology and best practices.

Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

A minimum of 5 years of professional services or private industry experience with a heavy focus on the financial and accounting space. Mandatory experience leading full-cycle implementation projects utilizing Sage Intacct or a comparable Tier 2 cloud-based ERP technology (e.g., NetSuite). Demonstrated knowledge of advanced modules, including Project Accounting, Contract Management, and successful integration experience (e.g., with Salesforce). Possession of or actively working toward advanced Intacct certifications, such as Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist or Solution Consultant. Exceptional ability to accurately capture and represent client requirements, openly discuss potential challenges with stakeholders, and confirm comprehension across various levels of management. * Preferred qualifications include a CPA or a strong foundational accounting background, enhancing the candidate's ability to act as a financial strategist concerning regulatory and compliance standards.
