Join a leading provider of water treatment solutions as a Research Senior Engineer in Gauteng's West Rand. Collaborate closely with colleagues to transform research findings into practical solutions, while monitoring numerical modelling technologies and applying extensive engineering knowledge. Requirements:

  • Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering (ONLY)
  • Proven work experience in water and/or chemical research environment
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Experience in process simulations
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • English (Written & Spoken)
  • Profound IT skills
  • Valid Drivers License and own vehicle
  • Full Vaccination Certificate
Duties:
  • Work closely with colleagues on the engineering team to put research results into action and to take innovative ideas into production.
  • Identify and monitor numerical modelling technologies in computer aided engineering methodologies and tools
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignment
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution for issues encountered during product. design and testing, including the continuum of design verification testing and system qualification
  • Lead projects, design a success path, coordinate with colleagues and/or students, and plan resources.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and help integrate them successfully into the existing workflow.
  • Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of techniques, designs, and methods from sources such as conferences, technical journals.
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring project progress, co-coordinates activities, and calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and resolving problems.
  • R&D SHEQ and compliance management.
  • Developing people by training them in our operation principles and best practice at all levels.
  • Commercials developments.
  • Assist with site evaluations if and when required.
