Senior Reliability Engineer
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng.
A global high-tech pioneer for defence and security electronics is keen to appoint a Senior Reliability Engineer.
Position Overview:
The Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing and leading all reliability testing activities, including EMC, environmental stress testing, and HALT testing for various products and systems. This role requires the engineer to work closely with internal teams to ensure that products meet required reliability standards and are ready for production.
Additionally, the Senior Reliability Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the product lifecycle, from design through production to release.
What you'll be doing:

• Leading the reliability testing efforts for various products and systems.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, IEC, MIL-STD).
• Collaborating with design teams to solve technical challenges and improve products.
• Driving safety and performance to the next level across multiple high-stakes projects.

Essential experience and qualifications required:

• A completed BSc/BEng Honours Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in Reliability Engineering, with exposure to EMC, Environmental Testing, and HALT/HASS Testing.
• In-depth knowledge of Industry Standards such as ISO, IEC, MIL-STD, ROHS, REACH, and EU Safety Product Requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to solving complex reliability issues.
• Proven track record of leading testing teams and providing technical guidance.
• Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Experience in drafting and managing Qualification and Testing Plans, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards.
• Exposure to Power BI and Data Analysis for Reporting / Supplier Selection and Qualification Processes, added advantage.
