Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
Scope Of Work:
Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, and BOQs.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil, roads, and stormwater works.
Compile and price labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor rates.
Conduct rate build-ups in line with CIDB grading and municipal requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and verify quotations.
Prepare tender clarifications, cash flow projections, and supporting documentation.
Work closely with management to finalise and submit competitive tender bids.
Maintain a database of pricing information and supplier rates.
Requirements:
National Diploma or Degree in
Quantity Surveying
in the field ofCivil Engineering
Minimum3-5 years' experience
intender estimation for construction/civil works
. Strong knowledge ofmunicipal and government tendering procedures
. Proficiency inExcel, Candy CCS, or WinQS
. Familiar withCOLTO, SANS 1200 and roadworks specifications
. Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience with5CE/GB or higher tenders
(roads, stormwater, sidewalks, or water projects).Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From R30000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
