Minimum Academic Qualifications
Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
7+ years
of technical quantity surveying experience in large-scale building and/or civil engineering projects.
2+ years
of managerial or leadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior Quantity Surveyors.
Proven track record of managing the commercial function across
multiple high-value projects (R1 billion+)
simultaneously.
Professional Registration
Membership with
ASAQS
and/or
MBA
.
Registration with the
South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)
preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of multiple large-scale projects concurrently, from inception through to final account.
Mentor, guide, and develop junior and intermediate Quantity Surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Oversee cost planning, procurement strategy, tendering, contract administration, and final accounts.
Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are met and relationships are maintained.
Provide strategic input into project planning and execution to optimize commercial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
