Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor (Pr.QS)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all project cost-related activities from inception to close-out (Stages 1-6). Develop comprehensive

Viability Assessments

Cost Estimates

, and detailed

Cost Plans

. Prepare and finalize tender documentation, including

Bills of Quantities (BoQ)

, specifications, and contract particulars. Conduct tender evaluations, negotiations, and prepare final contract documents. Manage project financial control, including monthly

Payment Valuations

, cost reports, and forecasts. Undertake final account settlements and close-out documentation. Ensure full compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and the SACQSP Code of Conduct.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum

NQF Level 7 Degree

in Quantity Surveying from a SACQSP-accredited institution. This must be coupled with a minimum of

8 years

of verifiable, relevant post-qualification experience in professional Quantity Surveying practice. This role carries a

non-negotiable

requirement for

mandatory current and verifiable professional registration

with the

South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)

at the level of

Professional Quantity Surveyor (Pr.QS)

. Membership with the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) is highly advantageous.
