Job Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE




We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Control Advisor to provide strategic support to management across all Lesedi divisions, focusing on quality assurance and quality control initiatives. This role requires a technical expert with strong communication skills who can advise and guide management on technical matters while ensuring all work performed by Lesedi and its subcontractors conforms to customer requirements, relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.


The successful candidate will provide administrative oversight of functional activities including IMS governance documentation, supplier monitoring programs, project surveillance, and quality training initiatives. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining compliance portfolios and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS



Compliance Portfolio Management



Establish and maintain IMS Governance documentation related to Project Quality Control and Quality Assurance Manage and implement external audit schedules with follow-up oversight Prepare and ensure readiness of Project QA/QC processes for certification, surveillance, and audits Oversee external audit findings management and corrective action implementation

Supplier and Contractor Oversight



Establish and implement comprehensive Supplier Monitoring programs (onboarding and periodic assessments) Maintain Non-Nuclear and Nuclear Quality Supplier Monitoring databases Develop and deliver quality training for suppliers, subcontractors, and construction leads Provide remediation training for suppliers delivering sub-standard work Implement and manage established project surveillance programs across all Lesedi P&L divisions

Project Support and Monitoring



Support Project Management in ensuring professional handling of client audits Monitor and enforce standardization of quality requirements across all Lesedi work sites Assess, monitor, report, and identify areas for improvement and opportunities for improvement (OFI) Perform post-work reviews of Project Packages as required Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where necessary Prepare Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Project Management Plans (PMPs), and Quality Control Plans (QCPs) for tender submissions

Customer Satisfaction Management



Analyze external customer satisfaction feedback data Provide improvement recommendations based on customer satisfaction analysis Conduct supplier/contractor NCR analyses Develop quality trend reports for management related to supplier performance Develop and monitor quality key performance indicators

QUALIFICATIONS



Advanced Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Engineering (essential) Professional registration with SAATCA or equivalent (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE



Minimum 7 years experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) in either technical or project quality assurance/control roles (essential) Proven track record of training and implementing company strategies successfully Demonstrated experience in system and/or process auditing Experience in developing audit programs Experience in developing quality key performance indicators Experience in producing quality trend reports for management related to supplier performance Multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction industry experience Nuclear industry experience with applicable standards, codes, regulations, and practices (advantageous)

Comprehensive knowledge of managerial principles Deep understanding of ISO 9001 principles (RD-0034 and ASME NQA-01 advantageous) Understanding of ISO 19011 auditing principles Knowledge of Engineering/Procurement/Construction and Project Management fundamentals Understanding of project management principles including PMBOK, contract management, and planning Knowledge of nuclear industry standards, codes, regulations, and practices (advantageous) Proficiency in Electronic Document and Record Management Systems (EDRMS)
