Our client, an innovative Property Development company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Stellenbosch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end property development process, from initial concept to project completion. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the local real estate market, and a proven track record of successful property development projects.

Key Responsibilities: * Project Management:

• Lead and manage the entire property development lifecycle, including feasibility studies, site selection, design development, permitting, construction, and project delivery.
• Translate vision into drawings and management of team
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and legal advisors.
• Long-term Project Planning and Preparation
• Market Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and risks in the Stellenbosch real estate market.
• Provide insights into current and future market trends to inform decision-making.
• Financial Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial viability and profitability.
• Implement cost control measures and regularly report financial status to senior management.
• Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with property development projects.
• Implement risk management strategies to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, local authorities, community members and investors.
• Represent the company in negotiations with external partners and regulatory bodies.
• Team Leadership and Human Resources:

• Coordinating the whole team of professionals (internal and external)
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the property development team, including Architects, Project Managers etc.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
• Reporting directly to the shareholders as member of the executive / leadership team.

Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

• Proven experience in property development, with a minimum of 8 years in a senior management role.
• In-depth knowledge of the Stellenbosch real estate market and regulatory environment.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of negotiation with Financial Institutions (Banks)
• Strong project management skills, including experience with large-scale, complex developments.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
