Job Description

A leading recruitment firm in South Africa is currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join a reputable mining company.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various mining projects, ensuring that they are delivered successfully and within budget. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective project planning, execution, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Managing project resources and ensuring their effective allocation
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to schedule and budget
• Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in project management, preferably in the mining industry
• Proven experience in successfully managing and delivering large-scale mining projects
• Strong knowledge of mining regulations, health, safety, and environmental standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable
