Job Summary

A great mining company is seeking the expertise of a Project Manager to join their team in Steelpoort, Limpopo.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist knowledge and guidance to management with respect to Capital management according to guiding procedures, frameworks and standards
• Schedule PMO resources to deliver SIB Capital and Working Cost project portfolios year-on-year
• Manage and guide Project owners through the project's lifecycle, to ensure that capital applications for Board approval are according to standard and that deadlines are achieved
• Identify risks to the Project Portfolio and implement appropriate risk mitigation controls
• Analyse project delivery indicators, determine the constraints to effective project delivery, and implement appropriate mitigation controls or actions
• Control expenditure according to project budgets and schedules to ensure efficient project portfolio cash flow management
• Drive improvement projects' justifications through NPV, IR and Payback evaluations
• Initiate cost saving (value engineering)

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Engineering / Mining
• Postgraduate Degree in Project Management
• Business Management Qualification (Advantageous)
• 8 - 10 years' post qualification experience in an underground mining environment
• Minimum 4 years in project management and execution of multidisciplinary projects
• Professional registration in Engineering or equivalent
