Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage
large-scale projects
from tendering to completion, ensuring all deliverables align with contractual obligations and company standards
Develop, maintain, and implement comprehensive
project quality plans
to ensure compliance with
ISO 9001:2015
requirements and industry best practices
Oversee
engineering disciplines
, ensuring that all inputs (specifications, budgets, timelines) are met and deliverables are technically sound, cost-effective, and on schedule
Manage
procurement processes
, including preparing enquiry documents, adjudicating supplier proposals, and ensuring accurate purchase orders and approvals
Ensure
legal, contractual, and health and safety
compliance across all project phases while adhering to both internal and external regulatory frameworks
Monitor and control
project budgets
and
cash flow
, including preparing financial reports, tracking variances, managing expenses, and implementing corrective actions
Identify, assess, and mitigate
project risks
, communicating any significant risks to senior leadership
Build and maintain effective
client relationships
, ensuring that client expectations are met and communication is transparent and professional
Ensure
continuous improvement
in project execution processes by identifying and addressing non-conformities and root causes
Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and act as a
Project Manager
or
Project Engineer
when required
Qualifications
A
BSc/BTech
in
Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
, or equivalent
A minimum of
10 years
of project management experience, with a strong focus on
water, mining, or industrial
projects
In-depth knowledge of
ISO 9001:2015
standards, including a demonstrated ability to apply risk-based thinking and the process approach
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget
Strong understanding of
commercial, legal, and contractual
project aspects
