Job Summary
Our client has an opportunity available for a Senior Process Technologist based in Bonaero Park.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cook - chill factory environment- preferable.
- Accurate drafting of recipes & methods.
- Technical and NPD Experience.
- 3 to 5+ years' experience in a food production environment.
- Food Science or Food Technology Postgraduate qualification.
- Sensory knowledge of ingredients & raw materials.
- Understanding of Product Quality Requirements.
- Report Food Safety concerns to the designated person.
- Conduct validation verification studies for all process methods together with the site technical team.
- Efficiently prevent delays in development & production.
- Make suitable continuous improvement recommendations for process methods & batch sizes.
- Supervise & provide training to allocated production personnel in the manufacturing of new product lines.
- Liaise with the buyers on the availability for packaging, ingredients and other raw materials required for trials.
- Provide all information to the site Specification administrator to write the specification on the customer system.
- Complete trial feedback for each product.
- Perform organoleptic shelf-life assessments of all trials over shelf life.
