A dynamic food manufacturing company in the Western Cape has a fantastic opportunity for an independent, innovative Senior Process Technologist with experience in New Product Development!

Are you ready to navigate the transition of new products from the NPD stage to successful launch in the production space?

As Senior Process Technologist, your main focus will be on planning and scheduling, so a robust skill-set for effective project management, particularly of new product launches, is essential.

Youxe2x80x99ll also oversee factory trials, pre-production, and collaborate with various teams such as quality control, product development, and the factory. Document critical data, ensure compliance with customer specifications, and handle responsibilities ranging from training factory operators to managing organoleptic quality and shelf-life analysis. Youxe2x80x99ll be leading a team and strong leadership (xc2xb1 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience) is an asset!

A key aspect of your work will be your participation in new product development from the concept stage, providing technical input. The ability to plan, organise, prioritise, and co-ordinate tasks is crucial, along with flexibility in working hours and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

We need a food technology professional with technical proficiency in areas like Packaging, Processes, Microbiology, and Food Safety & Quality. Educational and experiential requirements for the Senior Process Technologist position include a degree or diploma in food science, food technology, or an equivalent tertiary qualification, and a demonstrable foundational understanding of the field. Furthermore, a minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 hands-on experience within a food production environment is required.
