Job Advert Summary
Reporting to the Process coordinator, the successful candidate will manage all electrical, mechanical pumping and water quality activities at Zwartkopjes and Satellite stations on shift basis.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/ NQF level 4 will serve as an advantage. 5 years of plant experience in managing large pumping stations. 2 years' experience in a Supervisory capacity HV electrical switching exprience. 2 years HV electrical switching experience desired. Code B driver's license with the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test. Computer literacy will serve as an advantage.
Primary Duties
Achieve quality control standards. Manage resources and monitor assets at booster stations-ordinate requirements in conjunction with coordinator or SPS, Plant availability and reliability. Manage and control energy consumption. Monitor reservoir levels. Control labour cost and transport. Apply statutory and policy requirements required by Rand Water. Maintain sound Human resource practices. Participate in project activities where required. Monitor installation of new equipment.

The potential appointment to this position shall be subject to serving a MAXIMUM probation period of up to 12 months, based on a FLEXIBLE monthly probation evaluation process before confirmation of permanent employment in Rand Water.
