Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Alberton
Key tasks will cover all aspects of the approvals and reviews of designs of complex mobile and Industrial machines and equipment against customer specifications and industry standards.
This is a non-managerial position.
Requirements:
- BEng Mechanical Engineer/ BSc Mechanical Engineering/ BTech Mechanical
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the design industry
- Proven 3D Skills in Solid Edge
- Good problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards
- Interface with customers to help establish and prioritize the utilisation of design resources.
- Direct and guide design engineers on technical-related issues.
- Manage project/task timelines to ensure that agreed milestones are reached and to communicate and plan for non-compliance in a timely manner.
- Organize and lead "internal" design reviews to ensure that designs that are reviewed with the customer are properly checked for soundness and compliance.
