Provide advice in the negotiation, drafting and review of contracts and other agreements associated with lending or related activities in pursuit of the Bank's asset growth targets
Leads a multi-disciplinary credit risk team, who effectively and pro-actively manages credit losses through excellent credit risk management, nationally for the Commercial Agricultural Segment, by applying appropriately credit policies and guidelines. The team operates across 9 provinces and bank products.
Supports and proactively leads the team to support business partners in understanding and meeting client lending needs as well as providing input on legal documentation in collaboration with Legal teams for complex transactions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Field of study: Business Commerce or any legal qualification (LLB or BCom: Law)

Formal minimum qualification 2 : Post Graduate Diploma and Enrolled as admitted attorney.

Other: A qualification in Commercial & Contract Law and/ or Credit Risk Management or Credit Diploma or other relevant credit or legal qualification training

Experience Required
Credit Risk & Compliance
7 -10 years.
Deep knowledge and understanding of Contract law, Credit Risk assessment and evaluation including financial statements ,collateral and collection processes within the banking environment. Knowledge of products as offered by SBSA across segments.

Leadership

3-7 Years

Proven experience in leading a team is essential
