To build and lead Information Technology (IT) professionals to manage PPS' Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) services, as well as Release and Quality Management, Operations Governance and Reporting, IT Tooling Governance, and Service Transition and Readiness. The role drives the operation of technology solutions at best practice levels through disciplined daily procedures, delivering high-quality outputs efficiently to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements



Education:




Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline Master's degree in a related discipline (preferred)

Experience:




Minimum of 8 years of progressive Information Technology leadership experience At least 3 years in release management and/or delivery governance roles

Knowledge and Skills:




In-depth knowledge of release management, quality assurance, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Development and Operations (DevOps), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices. Demonstrated experience with governance of information technology (IT) tooling and enterprise-class platforms. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and risk management in complex information technology environments. Experience overseeing compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements in a technology context. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, including executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Proficient in all aspects of using a computer, i.e. Microsoft Office package etc.

Duties and Responsibilities



Controls release pipelines, quality assurance, test governance, and deployment risk. Oversees planning, coordination, and execution of software releases to ensure minimal risk and maximum value. Establishes standard release pipelines with automation to streamline deployments and testing. Develops and monitors release and deployment governance frameworks aligned with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and other methodologies. Drives agile and DevOps (Development and Operations) adoption in release management for iterative improvement and rapid value delivery. Manages non-functional requirements (NFR) validation, release readiness reviews, and cutover planning. Leads or participates in governance boards, steering committees, and incident response teams. Leads quality assurance strategies, test planning, and execution for production releases. Supervises implementation and improvement of automated and manual testing practices. Collaborates with engineering, product, and security teams to expand test coverage and reduce defects. Reports on key quality metrics and works with leadership to set and achieve targets. Implements Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-aligned controls to ensure compliance with audit requirements. Generates reports on release cycles, incident trends, and business insights using data visualisation tools. Produces dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs) like DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) metrics, Change Failure Rate, Lead Time, Deployment Frequency, and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR). Manages software licensing, standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Centralises Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management for cost efficiency and compliance. Serves as governance lead for information technology tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub), ensuring proper configuration and usage. Drives best practices in tooling, including workflow standardisation and permission management. Collaborates with vendors and internal teams to evaluate new tools and enhancements. * Recruits, mentors, and develops a high-performing team, fostering accountability, autonomy, and excellence.
