Job Description
Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Manager to lead ICT Governance and Projects on a Fixed-Term Contract from January 2024 for a minimum of 3 months. Based in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, this role is a key position within the Information and Communications Systems (ICS) Division.
: Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Senior Manager: ICT Governance and Projects will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the IT strategy, overseeing IT projects to align with business objectives, and establishing Governance Frameworks. Preferred Minimum Education and Experience:
- Education: Relevant post-graduate qualification (NQF 8).
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of ICT strategy and governance experience.
Knowledge and Understanding of:
- Major components supporting complex shared ICT services.
- Commercial contracts, service level agreements.
- IT Security protocols, processes, policies, and standards.
- Business systems in Higher Education Institutions.
- Information security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Cloud computing and data management.
- Industry-standard governance frameworks like ITIL, COBIT.
- Legal and ethical issues related to data privacy, intellectual property, and technology usage.
- Cybersecurity threats and best mitigation practices.
- Incident response and recovery procedures.
