JOB DESCRIPTION:
This academic leadership lecturing position in a faculty, contributes to faculty academic department learning & research objectives, through: * The provision of input into curriculum designs & development, inclusive of implementation * Participating in faculty committee structures * Lecturing, teaching & promoting students (both undergraduate & postgraduates) for selected modules in curricula/programs * Facilitating & assuming responsibility for academic administration processes & student data within the academic scope * Establishing collaborative networks, research initiatives both locally & regionally * Contributing to the mentoring of academic staff * Participating in community engagement initiatives in alignment with social responsibility & scholarly engagement goals * Publishing research within institutional criteria & requirements * Supervising postgraduate research within the academic rank of senior lecturer (Masters/Doctoral research)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • A relevant Master's Degree
  • Registration with a professional accounting body.
  • Three (3) years experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
  • Postgraduate and Undergraduate teaching experience in accounting areas of specializations which include Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Financial Management
  • Previously taught at a SAICA-endorsed programme, delivering courses aligned with professional accounting standards and competencies.
  • Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding
