Purpose of Position: To deliver support to end users in the organisation about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and other business units. This role will participate in the development, testing and implementation of new and ongoing software projects and provide regular updates to management. This role will also perform application maintenance management tasks, problem solving, support functions, new projects and training ensuring that business industry standards are met.








Requirements: Grade 12, IT related Degree or Diploma, Valid South African drivers licence (Code EB)

Required Experience: 6 xe2x80x93 8 years related experience, Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language., Demonstrated knowledge of the organisationxe2x80x99s core business processes and application maintenance operations., Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to in- house systems issues and outsourced application maintenance products as required., Experience participating in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products., Experience with the organisationxe2x80x99s core software applications, including MEDITECH LIS, and Google Workspace., Knowledge of project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organising, and managing resources., Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Understanding of the organisationxe2x80x99s goals and application maintenance objectives.








Key Responsibilities: Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards., Analyse results, make recommendations for support process improvement, and implement changes., Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts., Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communication of requirements back to business stakeholders., Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team., Ensure that appropriate standards are met when implementing fixes, enhancements and requests., Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems., Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organisation., Implement requests, fixes and enhancements timeously according to business requirements., Maintain, configure and enhance functionality of all new and existing software and applications across the organisation according to policies and standards., Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle., Participate in interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods., Participate in peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted., Participate in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimised., Test fixes and enhancements and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved and enhancements are fully functional., Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team., Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritise collected requirements.
