Exciting Opportunity for Senior Investment Associate - Turnaround, Workouts & Restructure (4-Month Contract)

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for corporate restructurings and turnarounds? Our client, a prominent figure in the development finance sector, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Investment Associate for an impactful 4-month contract assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Debt Restructuring:

  • Develop strategic plans for clients facing financial challenges.
  • Review and monitor financial performance and collections.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Turnarounds:
  • Formulate effective turnaround strategies.
  • Monitor the implementation of turnaround plans.
  • Identify and engage potential investors or partners.
Business Rescue:
  • Oversee business rescue proceedings and advise on plan acceptance.
  • Monitor the implementation of Business Rescue Plans.
Risk Management:
  • Proactively identify and address early warning signs and risk factors.
  • Implement recommendations from internal and external audits.
Reporting:
  • Prepare comprehensive restructuring proposals.
  • Present proposals to relevant credit committees for approval.
Monitoring and Output Management:
  • Manage and monitor non-performing loans.
  • Oversee the output and quality of work of various Investment Associates.
Experience/Skills Required:
  • 5 years of experience in corporate restructurings and turnarounds.
  • Essential credit experience, including corporate restructurings and financial analysis.
  • Results-oriented, efficient, and effective under high-pressure environments.
  • Business turnaround and restructuring skills with strong financial analysis capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • CA (SA) or BCom Accounting with a postgraduate degree.
  • Relevant 4-year financial tertiary education or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovation.
