TEAM: Linux Server Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
The product "Linux Server" provides fully managed Linux Server for all Group departments, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, security compliance, and seamless integration with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Qualifications / Experience
Minimum mandatory qualifications:

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience

Minimum mandatory experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of IT operations experience
• Minimum of 5 years of configuration management and automation experience
• Strong experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell etc)
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES)
• Strong experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Strong knowledge with version control systems (GitHub)

Advantageous experience:

• IT certifications (SUSE, Veritas Infoscale) are a plus
• Any Linux certification such as RHCSA
• Ansible certification - RHCE (ex294/ex407)
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience with Dynatrace
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Knowledge of Agile Working Model

Essential Skills Requirements
Operating Systems & Scripting:

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems (SUSE)
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python)
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES)

High Availability & Monitoring:

• Knowledge of High Availability systems including Veritas Infoscale
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana or similar) and backup solutions

Database & Applications:

• Oracle and SAP high level knowledge

Networking:

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, SSH, TCP/IP)

Cloud & DevOps:

• Strong experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure
• Implement security controls and compliance requirements
• Strong knowledge with version control systems (GitHub)

ITSM & Processes:

• Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met
• Manage Problem, Incident and Change process for dedicated ITSM service

Soft Skills:

• Ability to work interdependently and deliver results on time with excellent quality
• Self-starter with proactive approach to infrastructure management
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Problem solving capability
• Above board work ethics - this is of utmost importance
• Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
• Willingness to do standby and work on weekends if needed, as part of the team standby roster

Advantageous Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare
• Knowledge of Private Cloud solutions
• Knowledge of Windows Server
• Knowledge of Dynatrace or Grafana
• Knowledge of Splunk
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as podman, Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Basic knowledge of ITIL and PIC processes such as Problem-Incident-Change processes
• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow Tool and Processes
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Ansible certification - RHCE (ex294/ex407)

Role Requirements

• Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
• System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions
• Maintenance & Updates: Apply system updates, patches, and security fixes as part of routine maintenance
• Documentation: Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
• Security Compliance: Support compliance with security standards and company policies
• Cloud Operations: Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure, as well as implement security controls and compliance requirements
• Project Management: Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met
• Operations Standards: Assist to ensure stability of systems and adherence of the team to Group's Operations standards
• Knowledge Management: Ensure quality and up to date content of the knowledge base for the sub-product
• ITSM Process Management: Manage Problem, Incident and Change process for dedicated ITSM service
• Standby Support: Willing to do standby and work on weekends if needed, as part of the team standby roster
• Configuration Management: Keep documentation up to date in all relevant systems (e.g. as is configuration CMDB/Application Instance Wizard, to be configuration Connect IT, knowledge database resolveIT)
• Meeting Coordination: Attend and moderate operation meetings
• End-to-End Responsibility: Take end-to-end responsibility of IT infrastructures from requirements elicitation to implementation and problem resolution
• Infrastructure Automation: Deploy, control and manage infrastructure for deployment, monitoring and test automation
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product stakeholders
• Development & Operations: Perform development and operational activities
