Job Description

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior HR Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing end-to-end HR generalist services to multiple clients.
  • Managing HR governance, policies, and best-practice implementation.
  • Overseeing B-BBEE-related HR inputs, Employment Equity (EE) processes, and audits.
  • Managing Skills Development processes, including WSP/ATR submissions and training coordination.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety Act compliance and assisting clients with SHE files and audits.
  • Ensuring POPI Act compliance and implementation of data protection processes.
  • Administering COID registrations, returns of earnings, and compliance management.
  • Coordinating payroll inputs and working closely with payroll teams.
  • Managing outsourced labour and contingent workforce requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge on Industrial relations and CCMA representation.
  • Advising clients on labour legislation, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Conducting HR audits and developing customised HR solutions for clients.
  • Building strong client relationships and representing the firm professionally.
Minimum Requirements
  • 510 years HR experience, preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment.
  • Strong HR generalist background with knowledge across the full HR value chain.
  • In-depth understanding of:
  • B-BBEE, Employment Equity, and related compliance
  • Skills Development, WSP/ATR submissions, SETA processes
  • Health & Safety (OHS Act) compliance
  • POPI Act compliance
  • COID registrations and submissions
  • Payroll processes (knowledge of systems advantageous)
  • Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and advisory skills.
  • Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle (if client visits required).
  • HR/Industrial Relations/Business qualification (Diploma or Degree).
  • Additional certifications in HR, IR, OHS, B-BBEE or Skills Development advantageous.
  • Mining HR experience specific and other sectors will be an advantage.
