We're looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Officer to join our team in a senior capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving people strategies that align with business goals. You'll work closely with line managers and department heads to deliver high-impact HR solutions across compliance, staffing, development, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with labour legislation (BCEA, OHASA, LRA, SDA, EEA) and MIBCO main agreement.
Lead workforce planning and recruitment processes, including job analysis, background checks, and onboarding .
Drive learning and development initiatives, including IDPs, training compliance, and talent mapping.
Manage performance improvement processes and employee relations, including disciplinary procedures, absenteeism, and grievance resolution.
Conduct HR reporting, statutory submissions, and employee engagement surveys.
Support internal HR projects and contribute to strategic HR planning.
Compile relevant statutory reports (WSP/ATR; EE Report; COIDA)
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources (SABPP registration preferred).
Minimum 5 years of generalist HR experience, ideally in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems (Sage VIP preferred).
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
Excellent communication, analytical, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
