Job SummaryA dynamic Engineering Consulting Company in Cape Town is looking for a Senior Geometric Design Engineer/Technologist to join their team!Key requirements:
- BEng or BTech degree
- Minimum of 8 years specific roads design experience
- Preferably registered with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech Eng
- Proficient in Civil Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D design software packages
- CAD, preferably AutoCAD experience
- COLTO, COTO advantageous
- Site experience advantageous
- Doing geometric design of roads and drawing production standards of national and provincial authorities
- Work with complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc.
- Produce 3D visualization of road designs
- Preparation of road infrastructure design reports
- Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
- Compliance with ISO standards of the company
- Assisting in projects as required
