Job Advert Summary
Provide specialist input to the maintenance and construction of landscape and to provide direction to gardeners in their duties/ responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
o Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or related NQF Level 4 o 3years Experience in horticulture /environmental field. o Valid code EB driver's license with the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test.
Primary Duties
oAll areas of work expected of gardenero Operation of specialized equipment & machinery (maintenance& equipment ) o Designated areas of recreation facilities such as bowling green, cricket pitches, golf course & other outdoor sports facilities o Marking and laying out of recreation facilities o Asset management (stock take) o Installation and repair of irrigation equipment o Application of fertilisero Chemical application o Leadership of staff allocated to incumbent and provide clear instructions o Feeding, cleaning and watering of indoor plants o Small landscape construction and maintenance o Specialized garden maintenance
Knowledge
o Basic SHE Knowledge on all related functions o Basic plant identificationo Basic irrigation installation o Knowledge of hand tools
Skills
o Horticultural skills o Communication skillso Specialized equipment e.g. Chainsaw, Pole pruner and related machines o Landscape maintenance

o Customer orientated o Safety conscious o Team player o Productivity orientated
